We’re looking for a new logo. We will be announcing a contest

We are still targeting a wide public release based on
Fedora 7 for this week! And looking for Ubuntu/Debian
experts to help us make a version of the Amahi server

First, we have several new users, some of them Illinois
from the Indian Hill Linux Users Group, who have volunteered
to try and install an Amahi server.

If you know a friend who might like to try installing
an Amahi server, please, send them to the install
page

Late on Friday a few more features and fixes were
pushed to the HDAs with software update running.

A bunch of changes (not released yet)
which are targeted to enhance the installation process
down to zero issues and perfect install.

If you notice something out of place, let me know!

• cosmetic changes (the hda page should have a visible favicon
  under firefox and
• changes to the main page
• fixes to outlook synchronization for periodic updates of the calendar
  files. sync is done every 5 minutes.
• lots of fixes to the install process for fedora 7
• cleaning up of rpms, dependencies
• cleaning up of hda-install

hda-install now makes _sure_ all the required RPMs are
installed before proceeding to the hda install.

There are still some glitches, if the install fails
mid way in the process. i am not sure yet how to fix this,
though the -f (force) option

hda-install -f hdaXYZ

Option f may be the solution to a failed install.

However, since we have added some error checking
a forced install may fail because something that worked
in the first try fails now (e.g. setting the initial mysql password).

Finally, we have forked the development of fedora core 6 and fedora 7!
this was a big big effort. only fixes to FC6 will take place going forward.

Continued intense work towards a perfect F7 install.
more than 7 full installs took place in the last 24 hours!

Hi there, happy fourth of July!

More great features coming to an HDA near you! We have just added outlook synchronization to the webcal app! You don’t need to upgrade your Amahi HDA (it’s already up to date).

Read the directions on how to set up Outlook in our Amahi wiki. It’s straightforward.

At the moment we only support exporting Free/Busy information, which means the subscribers of the calendar can only see appointments without the content of the appointment, just “Busy”.
This works great for people that use Outlook at the office. That way, there is no office information (potentially sensitive) going into the calendar.
