Innovative ways to browse your files: PHP Navigator and eXtplorer

File Management, we’ve all been there before … Intuitively you know where everything is but there’s always that one little file, you know the one that you need most whenever it’s the most elusive thing to find. It’s like trying to find your other shoe in your room as a teenager. Your games were under the pile of clothes next to the TV, the printer was on the nightstand that used to hold your Mickey Mouse alarm clock (that you told Mom had broken and you threw away but is still secretly ticking away in your closet, yeah buddy we’ve been there). But this one file is out there somewhere probably hiding with your old tapes of the X Files. Then the next thing you know it hits you…

I wish there was another way to do this.”

Well hell’s bell’s folks… here’s a couple! You’re thoughts on the alternatives didn’t work out the way you’ve planned so we’ve gone ahead and packaged a few for you to use (yeah we wish there were leprechauns in our machine too).

yep, those file managers are good. but, if you are serious about linux, i would give them a miss and concentrate on the cli.
a sort of tying one’s hand behind one’s back to learn. then move onto the file managers when you are comfortable with the cli basics.
