Six weren’t enough? Here’s 4 more apps: AjaxChat, WebChess, Scientific Calculator and RNews September 17
The Development Team keeps on rocking!
Due to the amazing efforts of the Testing Team we have applications ready for immediate release for Amahi.
We have an outstanding RSS reader for the person who always has to be “in the know,” an easy to use Scientific Calculator, a chess program and a out of this world chat client!
Rnews
Rnews server-side web-based AJAX-enabled RSS/Atom feed aggregator/news tracking tool. It can manage your hundreds of RSS and Atom feeds from your server. If you don’t know what that is, it’s like Google Reader, however, it’s hosted by you and open source.
Ajax Chat
AJAX Chat is a free and fully customizable open source web chat software implemented in JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. It’s basically a way to have a quick private chat room for a small network. Sound support is implemented using Flash, Socket support using Flash on client-side and Ruby on server-side.
Scientific Calculator
Scientific Calculator is just like the hand-held one, but it runs directly in your browser. A scientific calculator is a type of electronic calculator designed to calculate problems in science (especially physics), engineering, and mathematics. They have almost completely replaced slide rules in almost all traditional applications, and are widely used in both education and professional settings. If you are in a small lab, or design shop or have kids in high school, this may come in handy!
WebChess
WebChess is an open source chess application which will allow you to play chess over the internet. Many of the key features include: Graphical user interface, No client download or java – will operate through firewalls, Persistent Games, and more!
Cheers!
